Lightning Conversion - Not today!

Walking the dog A few early morning thoughts about Lighting - while I eat breakfast and get ready to take the dog on a walk.  I have been working on the Lightning conversion for my mom's Salesforce and have concluded that they are not ready to switch to Lightning.  Why? There are several key features that are on the Lightning Experience Roadmap for Winter '18 and beyond that are crucial for her sales team.  A snazzy looking GUI is nice, but functionality is necessary.   Lightning Roadmap You can see the Lightning Experience Roadmap on help.Salesforce.com  or link to a more printer friendly document by clicking on the caption to the left.  A few necessary features: Reports - Folder Management Lightning Mass Actions - Act on Multiple Records from a List View Using a Lightning Action Account - Account Contact Roles (This is a big must-have!) Tasks - Reminders etc. I am still hoping to convert the organization to Lightning!  Path, Kanban, an

How can I do a total Salesforce restore?

My mom posted this article on her LinkedIn, and I think that it is so clever!  I'm proud of you mommy!  This is also my "thank you" for taking me to breakfast on Saturday when I woke up at 4:30am.  I just wasn't tired! Have you ever been stuck on a Superbage?  Not stuck where you have been staring at a screen for 10 minutes, but really, truly, completely confused.  The type of confused that tries for three days to complete one step in a challenge, and still fails.  I've been there!  Below are a few of my favorite places to find Superbage help... Let's go fishing! The most obvious place. The required modules leading up to Superbadge typically contain most of the knowledge that you need in order to complete each challenge.  Go back and review.  It is easy to "know" how to do a task when the instructions say "click here...then here."  It is much harder when you come

Lightning Experience Specialist Superbadge - 9

We are almost done with the Lighting Experience Specialist Superbadge!  Once you finish, celebrate!  If you are not a baby, may I suggest a nice hot toddy.  Personally, I plan to enjoy a mug of hot chocolate and a few Oreos.... Hints and Tips for Challenge 9 UI Changes for Sales Reps: Use the report type "Opportunities with Adventures."  Otherwise you may not have the option to filter by the correct date field. If you want to use a report on a lightning record page, the report can not be saved in "My Personal Custom Reports." UI Changes for Fulfillment: A good place to adjust fields on a record.... Page Layout! General UI Changes: Check out the "App Manager" to see the Relaxation Gauntlet Remember:  Contacts=Explorers.  Products=Adventures.
