Lightning Experience Rollout Specialist Superbadge - 2-4

Not as ready as I thought... A confession: I am a clicker, not a coder.  It required code to correct the look-and-feel of the Visualforce page in order to get a "lightning look."  I was quickly stumped.  Passing today's challenge would not be possible without the Salesforce developer community. Challenge 3 I referenced this thread  and borrowed some code.  This replaces the code in the "Visualforce Markup" For the second part of this challenge, a photo had to be transitioned from Documents  in Classic to Files  in Lightning.  A hint:  The approach to quickly pass this challenge is simple!  If you have to spend more than 2 minutes transitioning the document, try another approach. Challenge 4 To set up compact layouts so that Paloma gets a special view, you will need both: Record Type Compact Layout For help creating the Path, reference this article .

Lightning Experience Rollout Specialist Superbadge - 1

Getting ready... I must be a Superbadge addict.  It could be the thrill of a new challenge or the smug feelings of self-satisfaction.  Regardless of the reason, when I see a new Superbadge on Trailhead, I feel compelled to complete it immediately.  Thank you Salesforce for creating such an addicting way to learn! Make sure to complete the pre-work, as there are more steps than the typical Superbadge: You can change a default tab right within the Object Editor. An interesting change: Previously on Trailhead, you could only create 1 user in a Salesforce Playground.  Since we had to add 2 users for the pre-work, the Playground rules are different. Challenge 1 I love simple challenges, especially at 2am when I'm feeling sleepy.  I'm going to wrap up this challenge then snooze.  Conveniently, running the Salesforce Optimizer and the Lightning Experience Readiness Check is as simple as two clicks. I'll let you figure out the two permissions sets, but
Top horror stories from people who wished that they had created a Salesforce backup before... Do not panic- I'll be back to Superbadges next week! It was her last day. The office breathed a mass sigh of relief as she finally turned in her badge and left. She had not been a popular coworker. Suddenly, sighs turned into shouts as the office realized what she had been doing so intently all day... changing the billing country on random accounts to Elbonia. He was new to Salesforce and still in training. The Salesforce Admin created his login, but mistakenly assigned the wrong profile. During his first week, one of the company's largest customers directly called his desk. "We aren't using product X anymore, so we would like to drop the product." "Ok," he responded, then, wanting to make a good impression on his coworkers, thought that he could handle the change in Salesforce. He did not see how to remove the product, so he simply deleted t

Getting started with Salesforce & Trailhead - Extreme Beginner

Are you new to Salesforce and not sure where to start? This post is for you! Showing off my maturity with coffee and a sweater vest. I just turned 1 a few weeks ago and have been in a contemplative frame of mind, reflecting upon the before Salesforce era.  In a few short months, I went from a frail, stationary baby to a walking, talking Trailhead Baby with 4 Superbadges and Salesforce Administrator Certification.  The Trailhead Baby blog started with 0 subscribers and now has over 500.  If you have been following the Trailhead Baby since the beginning - Thank you!  How did I move from tiny baby to brave Trailblazer?  Keep reading. The problem: There are many modules, trails, and projects on Trailhead.  The solution: Let Trailhead Baby guide the way!  Rather click instead of read?  Check out the "Getting Started" Trailmix  and start your journey! What is an information system? To understand the need for a stellar customer relationship management syste

Process Automation Specialist Superbadge - 6

Tuckered out from Trailhead I have a confession that you may find surprising.  The Trailhead Baby is not good at flows or at sleeping through the night.  To finish the final step of the Salesforce Process Automation Superbadge, I received assistance from many sources listed below.  On the sleeping through the night thing, I am not sure what to do.  Even with a big bottle at 7pm, on a non-Trailhead night, I still wake up at 11pm and 3am thirsty.  Mom has been "sleep training" by letting me cry a few minutes before a bottle, and, against my wishes, it seems to be working.  After tonight's Trailhead, I am going to try to go back to sleep on my own, without a snack. Process Automation Specialist Superbadge - 5

A project with Daddy: My favorite daily process! Making dinner for Mom! Tonight's challenge involves the creation of two processes.   Processes.  Have you guessed the theme of the photos that go along with the Trailhead - Process Automation Specialist Superbadge series? They are a few of my favorite day to day processes!  You, my amazing reader, get more than tips for a Salesforce Superbadge.  You also get personal insight into the life of a Trailhead Baby!  I hope that you feel inspired. Process Builder sketch Last night, I drew a rough sketch of my process: Was it pretty?  No. Did it help?  Yes! The sketch allowed me to organize all of the instructions into a reasonable order before I started clicking.  It also removed the approval steps from Process Builder and highlighted (with *'s) the prerequisite items to building my process. * Email Alerts I needed the Email Alerts set up before I could create either the process or the approval.  Use the search o
