Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist Superbadge - 1

Trailhead Baby & cousins in the "toddler limo" I went on a long "walk" today with my cousins in the quad stroller.  My mom calls it the "toddler limo."  As you can see, my little brother was not pleased with his seat and caused a fuss.  After the walk, he demanded mom's attention, so I sneaked off to my crib/office to start on the newest Superbadge: Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist. Report Folder Tips: Nested Report folders is a new thing- as of Summer '18.  Learn more on the release notes .  The status bar is a big help: Sharing folders? Do I go to setup? Sharing rules? Where do I click! If you are trying to remember how to share a folder, check out this article: Share a Report or Dashboard Folder .  Error Messages:  If you get this message, or something similar, double check your syntax!  My mistake?  The R&D folder was named "Solar Bot R&D Reports."  The extra space between

Introducing- the Trailhead Baby's mommy

Me and my momma Hi there! Instead of tackling a Trailhead superbadge today, I'd like to introduce you to the most important person in the world: my mommy.  She's the reason that I started playing on Trailhead and became the Trailhead Baby. For the first 6 months of my life, I was an ordinary baby - eating , napping, pooping - until I observed that mom was doing something exciting every evening on her laptop.  It looked like a game.  There were pictures!  Mom went to get a glass of water and left her laptop on the floor.  I crawled over and snuck a peek.... the rest is history! My mom is extraordinary. She works.   Mom loves her job - she does marketing and business development for Capstorm.  I asked mom what "business development" means and she said that it means she drinks coffee and goes to meetings.  She must really like coffee! I know she doesn't like meetings.   Capstorm has an app for on-premises - that means on your own computer - backup of Sale

Security Specialist Superbadge (2)

This is going to be a short post- Mom promised to take me to the store to pick out a snack.  We are leaving in 30 minutes, so there is just enough time to share a few hints for the final steps of the Security Specialist Superbadge.  Need some help?  Leave a comment and I'll answer as soon as I get back from the store. (And after I have a snack...and a cup of milk...and maybe a short nap.)  You're on your own for the Password Policies quiz! Work with the fields that already exist within your playground.  The challenge states that two fields should be encrypted, but a field has to exist first! Hint: Do not create any additional fields! If profiles were set up correctly for the three types of users, passing this challenge should be a simple click! If you are having trouble locating a specific permission, try using the "find" function within your browser window.  (Example- Any permission having to do with dashboards, will have the wo

Security Specialist Superbadge (1)

It has been raining all week.  My little brother is taking long afternoon naps (boring!), and I need something to do.  So, I'm re-doing the Security Specialist Superbadge on Trailhead.  I am working in my new "office."  Even Mom can not find me here!  It's perfectly sized! If you are looking for help with the unmanaged package install - check out this blog post .  The profile setup is not too complicated, but it's important to note that mobile access can not be set up until a user has logged in to the mobile app.  The simplest method is to create the user, Samantha Cordero, then use your phone to login to Salesforce as Samantha. Hint: Clone the "Standard User" profile! You will only have to change a few settings to pass the challenge. A frustrating error: Even if the Apex tests pass, this error may still show up.  Why?  Unlike most Superbadges, the order in which the steps are completed matters to pass this challenge.
