What Capstorm does: Backup Salesforce to an on-premises or cloud based relational database. Restore records and metadata from the backup to Salesforce production or sandbox. Why does this matter? If there is ever a time that you are locked out of Salesforce, for any reason, the data is still available because the backup is kept locally on your servers. Plus, metadata is also backed up and versioned, so you can restore a prior version of metadata from the backup. A few more things you can do in addition to backing up Salesforce...
