Service Cloud Consultant Certification - Tips & Study Path


Trailhead Baby readers - How well do you know service cloud? Until a few weeks ago, my knowledge of service cloud was limited to an understanding that it exists. "You use service cloud?  Cool.  Isn't that for tracking cases?"  Weak, I know!  Then, Salesforce posted a Service Cloud superbadge.... Before doing the superbadge, I had to complete all of the prerequisites - showing my total ignorance of service cloud!  The superbadge itself was not that bad, so I thought, "Hey, why not tackle a Service cloud certification?"  (Plus, it is scheduled to rain tomorrow, so I can not go fishing) The next day....

Before we get to the "how," a huge Thank You is due to my great-grandmas from Illinois!  You are two of my most faithful readers - and this is how I spent the cash that you gave me for Christmas.  (I didn't have to sneak mom's credit card like I did last time!)

In case you are curious or are also thinking about a Service Cloud Consultant Certification...
PS - I'm not a consultant nor do I use service cloud on a daily basis-  I just thought it would be a fun cert to have.  This attitude made for low stress test taking and preparation - which made it much easier than the "I need to pass this thing!" feelings that I had towards the Admin Cert.   The moral- relax! It is unlikely that the word will end if you do not pass the cert test the first time, but hopefully you will!

    practice tests you referred to are fom focuseonforce?

      Yes- and they are great! The practice tests were actually much more difficult than the real test. I did about 20% better on the real test that my best practice test.

      Thanks. Do you recommend the course or just the tests? I did the service cloud superbadge recently like you which helped brushing up my service cloud knowledge...

      Both. I read through the course / took a practice test then passed the cert. I decided to use focus on force early on Thursday, studied Thurs afternoon / Friday morning then took the cert on Friday. Caveat - I've done a ton of superbadges and a lot of the concepts are pretty similar.

Business Administration Specialist Superbadge- 3 & 4

This afternoon, I added a genius wig in an attempt to look a little older and more experienced.  The free lemonade offer worked!  I made two dollars today!  A huge thank you to Jocelyn Fennewald , Salesforce MVP, for pointing out the "remove all columns" option within the report creator.  When you start a create a new report, simply click to start with a clean screen.  If you are familiar with report and dashboards, this challenge should only take 30 or so minutes to complete.  Below are tips and gotchas for each report / dashboard.  If you need more help, leave a comment! Service Cloud Specialist Superbadge - 4,5,6,7

Part of doing the Service Cloud Specialist superbadge is trying new things, so I am putting up picture of new things that I've tried recently.  One of my favorite new things this week was taking a shower with my whole block collection.  Mom put me in the shower, and I sneaked out to grab the block bin and dumped it in.  I'm concerned to share photos because of the slight nudity, however, I can assure you that it was a glorious adventure.  Instead, I'll share my favorite Saturday new thing- walking to the coffee shop for a sprinkle donut!  Back to the superbadge...
