Thursday Goals!

Goal #1: Get Rolling This is something that has been bothering me for a few days.  I can't get off my chest!  I keep having these uncomfortable moments of panic when I roll onto my tummy then get stuck.  It is happening a few times each night!  Mom hears my cries and assists by flipping me over, but I am going to have to figure out how to roll back over.  All of this rolling business is cutting into my Trailhead time!  I found a few YouTube guides that may be helpful, but I am going to have to dedicate the next few nights to this project. Goal #2:  Get Certified Despite my young age, I am a very driven individual and believe that it is important to begin building a professional portfolio.  In addition to writing what is certain to be an award winning blog, I am working toward becoming a certified Salesforce administrator!  Dad won't let me get a credit card until I turn 2, so I have to rely on free resources to practice for the exam. ...

Kanban for Mom

I bet that I am the only baby in the whole world who made a Trailhead Mother's Day present! Call it arts and crafts - Trailhead Baby style.  It's an opportunity pipeline with my projected accomplishments for the year!  The close date is when I expect to reach each milestone!  I slipped a printout into Mom's laptop bag. Update:  Mom thought that a coworker made the chart as a joke!  I hope that she keeps the paper around when I start spouting off words - on schedule!

Lightning Hero!

I am that hero...they call me.. the Trailhead Baby!  As a Lightening Experience Specialist, I have a few final tips! Tip #1 - Read.  Read the instructions!  Then, read the instructions again!  The final superbadge step was not difficult- minor org modifications and creating a report.  The challenge took an extra hour because I missed a few steps.  For my next superbadge, I am going to smuggle a highlighter into my crib!  Items that I missed the first time: Add the Adventure Stage Comparison charge to a new section . Use the Product Date range on the report, not the "Close Date." Product = Adventure .  Pesky renamed object!  Tip #2- Watch the API name!  On round 1, I created the report with the correct API name- "Opp Stage by Adventure."  I made a mistake, so I cloned the report and added a "_2" to the API name to save.  Bad idea!   Trailhead is looking for the exact API name! Of course, I had already t...

Check me out!

I am very proud of myself tonight for two reasons: I learned how to feed myself. I passed the legacy data challenge I can type quickly, however, I'm all thumbs with most other objects.  Don't judge- I'm only 6.5 months old!  If you are at all interested in my personal growth- read on.  If not, skip to the next section.  Today started out like most days- I slept in until 7, ate some applesauce, and took a bath with my ducky.  Normally I request a nice bottle of warm milk then take a nap.  This is when things got a little crazy.  Mom was very brusque...she kept muttering about a conference call that she foolishly scheduled right in the middle of my morning!  She rudely plopped me on the floor, half propped up with a pillow, and handed me a bottle.  I was not pleased and voiced a complaint- which was ignored! Complaining made me thirsty, so I decided to try the bottle on my own.   I could!   It took a few tries, but I did it! ...

Finally processed!

Proud of myself!  Hardest challenge yet !  It took 6 nights, but I finally finished the process builder projects!  Usually I play on Trailhead.  This week, it was hard work .  I am going to take tonight off and stay up during the day- skip the afternoon nap.  Perhaps mom will take me to the park!   Advice for difficult trails Look for help After 10 tries, I did a google search for help.  The developer community saved the night!  I felt better after seeing that many adults had trouble with the challenge.  I bet that I am the first baby to get it right!   Ask for help My mom doesn't let me go to the User Group meetings, but I wish I could!  Don't give up! I am a Trailhead expert, and it still took 14 clones of the process to finally get it right! Look back The next challenge is using a data loader to add legacy records.  Before I start clicking, I am going to search for other modules using data loa...
