App Customization Specialist Superbadge - 5



Almost done!  Deep breath...we can do this!  Today's post is short, so please enjoy a few of the "faces of my little brother."


I feel inspired to volunteer by goats.  A park near my house has a petting zoo, and I have been a huge fan of these adorable furry animals.  I would like to volunteer to feed them once I am a bit older.  In the spirit of volunteerism, I'll volunteer a hint for the Volunteer Tracker app:
Create tabs for volunteer custom objects before creating the app.  Search for "tabs"

    the error is
    Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong:
    Couldn’t find Top component 'Top Volunteer Organizations' report chart on the Lightning Page, or the Report Unique Name is not 'Top_Volunteer_Organizations'.
    Please help me on ths

      I'm sure you have already check these things but:
      1) Is the report API name "Top_Volunteer_Organizations"? (It will NOT default to this value if you have created the report multiple times)
      2) Is the report chart featured on the lighting page?

      I'll need some more details in order to be able to help.

    I've been having issues with making the lightning page tabs, where it says choose lighting page the only option is none. I've already made the Volunteer tracker in app manager but all the components it wants on the page I can't seem to find anywhere. Any help would be awesom

      Did you create the page? Tabs is a component that you can drag and drop onto the lighting record page.

      Yes I was able to figure it out I was looking at the instructions too literally I just had to drag them out on the page. Thank you though!

    How to create the app? I built the page from Lightning App Builder. But the challenge shows error
    Could not find the 'Volunteer Tracker' Lightning App.

    Hi, I know this is a long shot as this threat is over 4 years old, but I am COMPLETELY stuck on challenge 2: App Field. I am constantly getting the error that the 'Volunteer Activity' can't be found OR is configured wrong. I have checked every step of that challenge for 3 days straight now, looked at my formulas for both objects and I can't for the life figure out what is wrong. Also when I looked at official Salesforce forums I can't even find one person who has had this issue. Since I hate leaving things unresolved I really with to pass this challenge and continue the superbadge. I hope someone is able to help me out

    My two formulas are:

    Volunteer Shift Formula Text Volunteer_Job__r.Volunteer_Activity__r.Name
    Volunteer Shift Worker Formula Text Volunteer_Shift__r.Volunteer_Activity__c

    When I check the Syntax, both do not give any errors.

Service Cloud Specialist Superbadge - 1,2,3

A confession - I know next to nothing about service cloud.  While I was excited that a new superbadge was available, it made me a little nervous that I had to do all of the prerequisites and tackle new things like macros.  New things - new year - let's get started! (Right after I finish guitar practice) If you are also a service cloud novice, the Omni-Channel Basics is a crucial prerequisite even though it is not officially required. Challenge 1 App Appearance  This, like all superbadges, requires a careful read through the instructions prior to any clicking.  I found it helpful to take a separate notebook and write down the steps that I would need for each challenge step - for example -  My rough notes for challenge 1: Create 2 profiles  Tweak service Console 3 new items on utility bar Allow access for new profiles Create User  Beware - After editing the service console, you might have to edit the new profiles.  I found it necessary to click "edit&quo

Business Administration Specialist Superbadge- 3 & 4

This afternoon, I added a genius wig in an attempt to look a little older and more experienced.  The free lemonade offer worked!  I made two dollars today!  A huge thank you to Jocelyn Fennewald , Salesforce MVP, for pointing out the "remove all columns" option within the report creator.  When you start a create a new report, simply click to start with a clean screen.  If you are familiar with report and dashboards, this challenge should only take 30 or so minutes to complete.  Below are tips and gotchas for each report / dashboard.  If you need more help, leave a comment!
